UPDATE: 2 days ago the battery light stopped flashing and as far as I can tell everything is normal. Wierd. Any ideas on why it was flashing before? Think the battery is on its way out?

I think the thing that bugs me is that the tech wasn't sure what the problem was. He actually said those words. He then recomends I get a new battery. I don't want to get a new one if the one I have is fine and may not be the problem....

You should probably go to the Dell forums here for more information. The 1505 is a good computer. I recomend getting the least amount of ram possible from dell and upgrading after the purchase. Dell charges way too much for their ram.
