try the driver directly from intel , this solved all my problems with 2915 a year ago when I got my xps2. they have brand new ones for the 3945 and 2915 and they work really well : LINKY

this also happend to me right after instaslling the new 10.xxxxxx driver from intel's web site for my 2915 abg

it is 100 % compatible. I did it myself I had originally purchased a 9300 and then changed my mind for a xps 2 but the screen was better on the 9300. before returning the 9300 , I swapped the two screens. not a painless...

sd4hide.exe does the trick for me 2
