freebsd is up and runing now, All i had to do to get the 1400 x 900 rez running was to edit my resolution manually in /etx/X11/ Xf86Config file. Im wotking on sound now and hopefully the internal wireless card.

yea so far thats been my general concensus im wondering how and what we gotta do to get it to work. SO far im just not getting lucky with anything but 1024x768 but the fonts look stretched out.
