you could just order another top from dell (or whatever part you are wanting to paint) and keep it as a backup in case something did happen to it.

thanks rockin! that's exactly what i meant. also, as far as screens go, I will say what i tell everyone else. do what i did, go to best buy and see the two different res. you should instantly know which one is for you.

don't get the 9 cell batt instead of the 6 cell. just add it on as a second batt. it only costs $29 more. it's the option right below it. you can then sell the 6 cell for more when it comes or do what i did and keep both.

do what i did. go to your local best buy and just take a look at the two different res's. you will have no difficultly picking the best one for you. just play with both for a couple minutes and you should know which one will suit you...
