I chatted with Dell support about a couple of months ago (the convo was posted too) - Anyway, he guaranteed that they do now come with 5400rpm. He said the website is wrong and that it needs to be updated.

I can only think of one advantage in using the Dell Preferred card. It's faster. They don't have to wait for visa or m/c to clear, meaning... your order gets processed faster.
