hey the manual says the 9860 can take up to 4gb. so its a os thing that it can't all see 4gb unless you have a 64 bit os, right? and windows xp 32 - bit can only see 2gb? fyi: manual page D - 2 under specifications.

it will work, but it will be slower for the fact that its not going to be dual channel.
