Beeb, the password is stored in flash ROM. It's seperate from the CMOS. And every Laptop I've worked on is like that. I've pulled all power sources and discharged the system for 48 hours. It's still locked. Called IBM, HP, and Compaq...

Dude.. The only way to reset the CMOS password on a locked out thinkpad is to replace the motherboard. I'm not joking. This is one of the security features incorporated into laptops since they have a higher theft rate. I hope this is...

First off, can you give us a price for the configuration you listed? Even though the unit is a "demo" can the extended warranty still be purchased for it? Is there any minor cosmetic damage? Are there any dead/stuck...
