yeh thats what i feared looks like its scrap, or is it possible to solder in a new diode if it is a diode which im sure it is.

well i replaced the power button board and it still the same problem, this happens both on charger and battery, i took the case off the laptop to investigate further and it did come on, i left it idling for about 10mins and it switched...

yes i had it working for like 20mins and then it shutsdown no error messages at all no warnings just goes off and now at the moment it will not switch on just does the same press the power button it flashes together with the hard drive...
