i have always found thinkpad t series are pretty reliable i had a t 40 for about 8 years with out a problem now have t410 

ya any 400MHZ DDR will work up to two gigs but ya it does say every where that model only supports i gig of 400mhz ram and you can use pc2100 @266 or pc2700 @ 333mhz either will work . just to complete the thread ;)
