It only sticks out about 1/4 of an inch at most. I leave it in all the time and have had no fear of damage. The card also has two little led lights, one green and one blue. I really couldn't tell you how the Toshiba BT stack compares to the Bluesoleil SW since I've never used it, but I'm mainly concerned about functionality and for my purposes the Tosh Stack works well and is a bit more reliable than the software that came with my old Belkin dongle I was using. So I'm...

I have both the Satellite M40 and the very handy Satellite U200 and wanted a non-dongle bluetooth solution for both. I spent some time searching the internet, eventually settling for a PCMCIA Bluetooth solution at http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...ure=Billionton. I'm quite happy with it as it barely sticks out of the laptop, and ended up buying a second one for my M40 to replace the dongle I was using. It's just like having a built in solution and cheaper. I use it...

Thanks, that makes alot of sense. I suppose the cooler would cost a bit more if it was liquid bearing. There's the noise of the fan, i.e. the 'white noise' created by the air being pushed through the fan. This is normal and very constant. Then, at lowest fan speed settings, I also get a variable noise that is mechanical in nature. It sounds sort of like a bearing noise. The best way to...

I don't think you can RMA it for two dead or stuck pixels, that's the bad news. The good news is that I had one very annoying red pixel, and thought I was stuck with it. I did a little research, found that if you rub the stuck pixel, it can unstick itself. I tried this using a sunglasses cleaning cloth. I had to rub the affected area fairly firmly, but it did work. This happened about two months ago, and I haven't seen any other bad pixles yet.

I also got the notebook Vantech Notebook Cooler from tigerdirect, and I have a question for those of you that are using one. Is all you hear the fan noise (i.e. Noise of air running through fan), or do you also get a slight bearing noise?

I'm using a 512 PC 2700 Kingston Value RAM in my M40 that I had originally bought for my previous laptop, and it works well.It hasn't had any problems getting along with the other RAM stick that came along with the M40. I also play a fair amount of BF2, and have had no problems. The difference in perfomance , especially load times for maps is noticable. I called Kingston support before installing it, and although they wouldn't guarantee it works, they said that in all...

Nevermind, I figured it out . Got the driver updated to 77.72. So far it works, now it's time to try BF2 and see if there are any improvements. Nice to have this kind of website to point me in the right direction!

Sorry for the stupid question, but I was wondering exactly how I find the 77.72 driver that will work on my M40. I looked in laptopvideo2go but am unsure which driver it is. I'd really appreciate a direct link, or specific direction.
