ok thanks for your help i can only use the laptop using an external display now is it easy ro replace a screen as i may take on the challange myself depending on the difficulty and how easy it is to catch a component and it...

i pluged my laptop into the t.v via HDMI and it does not show on the t.v but does on the laptop then when removing the HDMI cable from the HDMI port on the laptop the screen went black with lines appering accross the top going...

i have a compaq presario CQ62 laptop and the screen broke :( i paid  £90 for a new screen when i recived it, it  shuddered and had yellow lines on the screen only noticeable on certain colour backgrounds white...
