My 9300 motherboard died and was wondering if i need to do anything other than transplant all the components from one motherboard onto the other ? Bios ? New power adapter ?
yup tried that too... same results... took the laptop apart and cleaned it out and looked inside for burnt stuff or any smell but couldnt find anything...
my i9300 stopped charging yesterday. the ac adapter is fine... tried using a friends and the same trouble. the green light is lit up till i plug it into the laptop when it goes out. the laptop runs of the battery but not off the adapter....
I been having some dvd volume issues... the background sound comes out high but the dialogues are all very muted... ive fiddled around with media player and media player classic settings but have not had any luck.... but have no poblem...
ya the ibm option has already been looked into... $150 if its a simple bios password reset but $700 if its a motherboard replacement ! might was well buy a new laptop for that kind of money... does having a 3 year warranty help in this...
a friend got her laptop ( T42 Model: 2374 )stolen for a few hours and when she got it back the person who took the lappy had set a bios password and done a complete system restore.... now she cant access the lappy at all... is there...
well less trouble would be one reason... dont need the 130w powerbrick and 9 cell battery...and same heat sink i guess...
I use a lacie firewire drive to do all my work off the external... only programs are installed on the internal and it works fine... but a word of caution is that the repeated use of the external tends to generate more heat which shortens...
Can the new 7800go used in the 9400i be transplanted into the 9300... saw that they do use the 93w adapter and the 6 cell battery so power requirements are probably the same.... Any word on the processor ? Can we switch them out ?
other than the fsb speed, is the pin config. the same as the centrinos ?
