OK, apparently it wasn't the CPU nor the GPU. I tried reconnecting my battery, start it up with no AC connected, then 5 seconds later, connected the adapter, voila, it works. I have no idea why but the combination got it to boot...
I tried separate memory modules. Still nothing. I read up on more forums about overheating on the GPU/CPU. I took apart the heatsinks and the pictures are attached of the cleaned chips. I cleaned the tops with Isoproyl rubbing alcohol....
I tried the battery alone, AC alone, and together, no go. I dont receive any power to the LED. I tried different keys that standard BIOS startups (F12, F2, F10, Del, etc) but nothing.
Sorry, I should've posted that information. They're sometimes different but, for the most part they're short frequent beeps, after the gpu fan goes on high. Looping beeps.
Hey folks, I'm having an issue with my 8850 notebook. i haven't tampered with any of the hardware. I returned from a few days vacation and I went to turn my notebook on.. no power to the screen, the caps, wifi, and bt leds frequently...
