contemplating purchasing the dv8000z and just wondering the latency's and such on the ram that hp puts in. their on site configuration tool doesn't list it which makes me grrrr....mad.

^^^^wow, i wish that voodoo wasn't $1300 more than it should be. its perfect. as for the 4400 it looks good except its not configureable. i want 7200 rpms because for A/V work you can notice the hard drive lag. also, that ram...

the 5020 looks to be close, but I'll be damned if I can find them for-sale anywhere. i'd buck up and get a pentium-m if i didn't know I'd want to throw longhorn on this thing in a few years. as for the z81k no one's putting turions...

crapola. i wish they'd hit this thing a little harder. i don't get it. 64 bit power + not insane power consumption = awesome for notebooks needing massive computing powers.
