Difference between 1.7 and 1.6 is negligible since it's only a clock increase of 6% or so..... Hard for me to understand why folks pay for the premium the 1.7 commands....
I have one too (but it's a 1.6). Overclocking the video to 400/250 gave me the following benchmarks scores at 1024: 3dmark03 = 3019 3dmark2001se = 10000+
3Dmark2001SE at 1024 2xAA 2xAnsio was just over 8k...
If it currently does not support Dothan (I would bet it does not) the HP may rebrand it as a nc6010 (or similar) once it does. They have done this before with other models....
nc8000 mini review:
Build quality is nice. Unit is very quiet and solid. Video Card rocks and is overclockable (will go past 400/250 with no issues). One dead (red) pixel.
Can't report on batt life yet.
Benchmarks done: 3dmark03...
Both the nc6000 and nx7000 were extremely quiet.
I prefer the nx7000 over the nc6000.... both were high quality though.
My nc8000 w/9600 pro 128mb is on the way.
