I'm not sure if it takes 2 batteries at once but thats fine, i'll leave one my case for a backup and yes according to DELL it has a subwoofer. So you if it does you don't think the 9 cell and subwoofer can be used at the same time?
Any suggestions? Get the DELL 9300 by may 5th for the $750 off which would bring it around $1650 or wait another week or two at most and hope a nice TURION comes out? Im still kinda worried about 64 bit becoming more mainstream sooner than ppl might think.
I looked on Newegg and couldn't find 1GB ram for less than $142 but thats still fine and does anyone know right off hand about how long the standard 6 cell battery will last on this for average use...little bit of web browsing and music listening? I am probably going to pick up the 9 cell extra battery anyway. BTW this will mostly be used as a DTR so battery life isn't the most important thing, just a minor issue.
I'm still having doubts... I've had money for about 10...

Another thing i've heard a lot of ppl say XP pro is best for laptops...why? or is media center good? i probably don't want Xp home right?
With $750 off coupon i can get a dell ispirion 9300 shipped, tax, and all for $1700. This will mostly be used for a gamer, websurfing, and for listening to mp3's.

I want some opinions on the best laptop speakers for around or under $100. My laptop will have either a 5.1 channel card or a 5.1 channel external/usb hookup and I know i at least want speakers with a SUB. Whether I get 2 speakers and sub or 5 and sub don't matter a whole lot. I just want good sound and good volume out of them. The speakers will mostly be used in my garage where i work out and might do some gaming/dvd watching, but i also want to be able to crank them...
The Acer Aspire 5000 is going to be one of the first laptops with a AMD TURION chip in it and I called ACER. They said April 30th is supposed to be the date in which these are shipped to resellers. Some of the laptops that are rumored to be coming out are shown with an ATI x600 or even ATI x700 which are decent cards i believe.
