You should be able to just put in your cpu without the wires and it should boot. Try that first to see if its the laptop's problem.

Nice choice! Thats the one with the 6600 right? You'll need a 1.6 ghz 735 in order to pinmod. It will overclock into a 2.13 ghz 760.
