Are you having problems with your laptop? No need to flash if you aren't.

They all pretty much do the same thing but I would recommend the Sony NEC drive. In my experience they have the better burn quality.

Check out newegg for RAM prices. A now application of thermal paste and possibly a fan replacement should do the trick. It uses a desktop cpu so it is prone to be running hot.

AMD turion x2 TL-58 should work.
