I have the same problem wirth my 4750. I get flashing, distorted polygons after a time, and then the entire display gets corrupted. I've tried every driver combination available, and nothing fixes it. My guess is my GPU has...
Rather than uninstall the driver, I disabled the tuner in the device manager. The jacks stay cold now, and the card doesn't heat up. So when the device is enabled, but not being used, it seems to add a LOT of heat to the system....
... even when it isn't doing anything. I hadn't noticed it before, but I can't even touch the composite jack for more than a few seconds or I'll burn my fingertip. This can't be right. Could this be why my machine BSOD's whenever...

Even though they're > $50 (around $100, new) I'd recommend AKG k240's. You can find them cheaper on ebay.. maybe within your price target. They're the most comfortable phones I've tried, and sound excellent. Q about the Audigy...
Earlier I downloaded the ATI tray tools from guru3d.com, and it let me adjust the displays separately, and even assign hotkeys for different color profiles. I can switch to my NTSC-like color profile and back, with no...
