I used your replacing ram guide compman55 to remove my keyboard and reseat the cable. It seems to be working now...time will tell if its going to hold up or only be a temporary fix again. Fingers are crossed..thanks for your help..

thanks..it is out of warranty which is why i was hoping i could fix it for cheap. if i bang the keyboard with my angry fists (which happens several times throughout the course of the day) then it is temporarily fixed for several minutes....
