go to a UPS store and ship it yourself. get insurance. you can buy it. UPS lost my first laptop. someone stole it from their distribution center. good thing dell shipped me a new one.

xps2 is still an inspiron, just not a "select one". if you want something cheaper get a 9300. same thing. different body.

newegg is the best company to buy parts from. RMA is easy if ram has problems(you have topay shipping).

if price is right and with a 19 inch lcd monitor it might be a good purchase.

$900 after tax and enviromental fee (which was about $70 in califonia) for a brand new machine. p 1.6, 512 ram, ati x300, XGA+. min specs. only upgrade was ram to 512 and cd-rw drive.

i got a few of these and will throw them away after the ink runs out.
