I have an area 51 7700m: P4 3.8HT 2GB ram ddr2 atix800 60GBx2 HDD Raid 0 And still can't manage to install ubuntu, any ideas ? I'm dying to get it installed... but all I get is a screen with grub loading forever.

Problem Solved ! The new farcry update (1.32) fixes problems with the x800. also, I'm using the latest omega drivers. now I'm having crashes with BF2 I hate how nvidia buys the devs nvidia = lower performance ati = graphic...

I read that what causes Battlefield 2 to crash is the graphics card (Ati in my case) drivers, so desktop users just upgrade and that's it. but what about us A51m 7700 owners ? are we left in the cold ? I tried the latest drivers...

is it possible to use the built in monitor plus other 2 ? so that way I could have left center and right views... can it be done ?

you are right, it's not the SB card. today I tried to play a DVD movie with the built in realtek card, and it lagged too. so, I'm f*cked right ?
