The M170 or XPS2 A05 bios's will probably be the only one that supports the 7800 GTX so if you are not upgrading to the 7800 you don't need to update your bios to M170. I just updated my bios to the M170 bios and havent had any problems,...

You might need to upgrade to the M170 bios 5.0 possibly to have the bios support the card. You dont need to do anything special just download the update from Dell.

It's apparently a bad power supply, you should let the guy know it doesnt work and ask for an exchange. Tell him how the XPS2 will not boot without a 130watt and this one does not register properly.

I cant tell whether its the 90 watt or the 130 watt but that error is different that what I got with my 90 watt Power supply plugged in. Not 100% possible I might get some time to check tommorow.

I have updated my guide with the boot cd and answers to a few questions I have recieved. Take a look and let me know if you can think of anything else. Thanks and good luck.

It needs the extra power, from both the battery and the power supply.
