As Duke sad...basically these days every scanner is the same. But if you look around I bet you can find something cheaper then 220$ that will have the same specs.
well if the inverter is the problem thats an easy fix..max half hour if you have the service manual how to open the screen case without braking it. And its cheap to. You can by it from ebay. If the neon tube is the problem thats more...
Be careful with the cables and notice any screw you remove so you will now exactly where it was. 3 weeks ago me and e friend replaced the lcd of a t23. With all the studying and manual reading and rereading took as max 2 hours! Good luck!
You can try other online stores as well but since I'm not fro the US I'm not familiar with those ones. I know ebay because it has European part as well. Good luck!
I also use a t23 for school stuff and internet and it's doing well. Try ebay for a used laptop. There are many online stores that sell refurbished laptops with warranty.
Actually it is a pretty comon T40 problem. My friend bought a T41 and has the same problem. When you press the keyboard to hard it freezes. After a lot of surfing we found out that it's a problem with the video chip. It's a contact...
Asus has nice designs ...but if you like simplicity (black box) you can try an IBM as well they have a great build quality.
Well the answer is NO! It doesn't work. You loose your Lan card but and the laptop won't recognize the bluetooth card. So if you want bluetooth, get at least a T30 or an USB one!
