hey thanks for the link. i saw that and the lcd alone is about $450!!! i figure i'd be better off paying a couple hundred more and buying an asus barebones and transfer everything over.

so i cracked the lcd on my asus m6bne. ive got a couple of questions. do any of the asus retailers on this board still sell the m6bne barebones? if not, what other barebone models would i be able to purchase and transfer my m6bne...

i realize its an ensemble model but would they eventually "update" the w3j+?

how long do you think it would take for asus to throw merom in the w3j+?

thanks for the replies guys. i was leaning towards the w3j+ anyways. my only question is about brushed aluminum cover. does it scratch easy? also, any new technologies coming out that would be worth waiting for?

thanks for the reply. the lenovo z series is a pretty good looking notebook. was planning on purchasing with the titanium colored cover. i dont really play games but im a sucker for a stylish notebook. i dont have any trips planned...
