I have the same problem on my TM8100, I've used all these brands out there, none seems to respond. Don't know what to do?

I have a TM 8100. I'm trying to build a dvd but it just doesn't let me do so. To my surprise the system promts me with an error message stating that it can't find a CD-R drive!!! What is this message? can anyone help me out here?

Well it's the original codec that came with the notebook, have not made any changes.
