I know in dells you can hit f12 at the bios screen to choose which option you want to boot from. You might try hitting all the fkeys until one brings you to that menu, if it has one

Did you get a driver cd that came with your laptop? I believe the touchpad has its own drivers, you might try reinstalling them to have the correct programs put back on startup.
