My favorite thing to remove first it the Dell Support Tool. It's extremely annoying.
Just call them up. The cable may have come unplugged and it's as easy as that or the video card could have been killed. With your CC warranty just call Dell as the CC covers drops and bumps. I'm pretty sure something in the system...
You should order another one and hope that it won't have the same problem.

Better start saving. I know I am. I'll hopefully be buying whatever the current version is of the 17" XPS a year from now.
I think you should keep it. IMO you won't get enough for it to make a difference. It will probably only give you a bit of pocket change after you buy a new system. Keep the 9300.

Why not just call Dell for a new fan?
I've left mine on overnight. I just have the screen just turn off after 10 minutes.
