I've come to the conclusion that while gaming it's not the background processeses or full harddrive, neither is it the speedstep because it stays at full while gaming. While watching DVDs, speedstep contributes to the stutter and...
I said "gay" to get people to read my thread and hopefully help me. The thing is that it worked
Thanks for the help. Yes, the harddrive seems to be working when it stutters. But the up and down volting of the P-M also contributes to the stutter. I'll try more ram when I can afford it.
Well, as I said before, when w2k was installed I didn't experience any stutter. I don't think the OS makes the system run cooler. And overclocking my desktop and forgetting to turn on the fan didn't cause stutter.
It can't be heat because it doesn't stutter in windows 2000. Windows 2000 uses alot less ram, that's why maybe? I'll see if I can borrow a 1GB stick somewhere and try. Thanks for the help so far.
Well, I made a new user, no difference. I have one user at this computer, it's my name and I'm admin. Now what? I think I need more ram or a faster harddrive.
Trying out the "new user" thing now. Win2k simply doesn't have support for dual head. It can be partially fixed if you want to use same resolution on both monitors, I don't.
