No no.... I had 2000 a few weeks ago. Everything ran perfectly fine. I just couldn't get two monitors to work with my radeon so I installed XP.
This account is admin... And I have reformatted 7 times the last few months and last time was last week.
The stutter in games/DVD is either related to the swap and disk activity OR the pentium m stuttering everytime it throttles and changes voltage.
What do you think?

I would say - get some more ram, or uninstall some programs etc etc. Beyond that simple stuff like defragging your HDD will help swap...
I press set, ok and reboot the comp. Then I check the settings and it's set for "no swap" or something. Then i check "ctrl+alt+del", same crap.
I've tried a static swap, windows managed and none at all. No difference.
I agree that swap is good to have when you run out of memory, but not before that! I have 100-200MB free ram while my games use 90% swap and 10% real ram. That's what's bothering me.
But I wonder if it's a "problem"? It's meant to be this way, I just don't understand why?!
RAM is almost hundred times faster than the harddrive. It's logical to use the ram as much as possible. But no... those braniacs at microsoft made windows use the swap instead of ram. And I don't seem to be able to turn it off either!
If I buy one more gig of ram, how do I know that shit windows won't swap the same way?
