Would it be possible to get a laptop by this Friday from an online retailer if I order now with next day shipping? I'm pretty sure I would like an Asus laptop, but I am open to other suggestions.

I finally got mine today. It is pretty good; the only problem I see is one dead pixel in the upper-right hand corner.

Just at the bottom I really never see it at all until the screen is all black. When it is there, it is a light gray.

I have the LG WXGA+. I am pretty happy with it. It has one dead pixel in the upper right corner and a little bit of light leakage.

Well a reformat would pretty much tell you if it is a software problem or not. If it still persists after a reformat, it is definately a hardware problem.
