Your friend is right, but I would still get the 1 stick of 1 gig. The performance difference with dual channel is not even noticeable, only about a 5% improvement. That and 2 gigs of RAM is most definitely used in BF2 and online MMO's...
Ouch, that's a lot more. Ya, I've never tried that one from ATI, but I figured it'd work just fine. People have recommended it before. Does it not work with the W3V, or all Asus notebooks?
Both the Z71V and Z70VA have WSXGA+ screens. Resolution is 1680x1050.
This should do the trick. VGA breaks down into component very nicely. It looks really sharp on an HDTV.
The wallpaper itself is good, but there's a problem he'll have for sure. The Z71V is a widescreen laptop, and that wallpaper is 4:3. Anyway you could make it widescreen?
Ya, if you're talking top of the line games for the next 3-4 years, you're gonna want to look at something with more power. The 6600 Go won't cut it 3-4 years down the road. If you want something that is still a good performer 3-4 years...
