usually the screen is branded (either on the metal bezel itself, or on a sticker label). if you are still confused, you can use powerstrip to check the manufacturer once the screen is installed...

and ya its kinda sad to see that a 2 year old inspiron screen has better quality than a newer "xps" screen.
woot! just letting everybody know that i successfully swapped screens with my 700m. i'll spare you all the details, but basically it's NOT just a simple swap. took me a little over an hour from start to finish, but it was worth it IMO...
maybe it's cuz max is not necessarily the best??

1) order from epp to get a 4%-12% discount depending on your configuration
2) wait for another big coupon deal. a LOT of us just get a 30% discount last week using single use coupon codes that worked even for xps systems (rare)
my M1210 is supposed to arrive today. i'm excitedd!! not happy to hear that they are starting to use these sub-par screens in the XPS series, but if the screen does suck, i'm going to try to swap screens with my 700m because that screen...
