i9k works fine with the A05. And so far the A05 has yet to cause a single problem with me letting it run the fans on its own either.

I've had 2Gb of Transcend in my laptop since I got it early in the summer. Not one problem with it. You just got unlucky.

Am I correct that the Serial ATA150 interface does not work with the 9300?

I am looking for the largest harddrive I can stick in this sucker (I9300). I think I'd be willing to go as slow as 5.4 but not 4.2. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
