Thanks for the help, it turned out that my vents and heat sink were severely clogged with dust bunnies (I was wondering why there wasn't any air flow coming from the vents). I cleaned it out and actually added some artic silver V to it...

Ok I'm stupid and realized that I had used an alchol wipe to wipe off the excess compound from both the heat sink and cpu . I reapplied, left a little larger of a layer to the cpu and it's running EQ2 at 55 Max now. Ronnie
