Have you tried to lube it up? You can use sewing maching oil to revive dying fans. There is a decent tutorial here on how to do it. Hope that works for you, I know I've rescued about 5 different fans by using this trick.

Ahh, I can once again kill with extreme prejudice in BF2. Now if only I could find the fan firmware to get some better cooling since I forgot how hot my wrists get resting over the gpu... Thanks for the advice.

Well I did the best "lapping" that I could seeing as you can't seperate the block from the heatpipes or frame. I got it down to copper everywhere inside where the processor sits. I got quite a bit larger of an area than I had...
