Ouch. Glad to hear it was fixed. ALWAYS make sure the processor can easily drop into the slot, you should never have to use any force to put it in. Enjoy the new rig man!
Should have no problem at all playing those games with good graphics. Also, your friends is going to build it for you? I suggest sitting there with him and learning while he builds. It will come in handy later if you want to upgrade...
First time putting a compy together? Man, its frustrating to me when I have problems the first time I try to boot, and I have built about 5 different systems, I feel your pain man. Building your own is the way to go in my opinion.

Well, if you have Windows XP PRO installed on the desktop then you could run Remote Desktop. Or you could buy other software such as PC Anywhere and use that. From my experiences (I have used the remote desktop that came with XP Pro)...
