The basic answer I got was: Until the system has 100% failed, we're not going to service it. They offered to send out a replacement cd-rom, and a replacement hard drive(well 2), and all of this, but they wouldn't touch the motherboard....

Well, it's that time of the year again. It seems, like clock work, every 6 months the motherboard in my Area-51M 7700 Dies. Before I call up alienware, does anyone have any ideas on how I could convince their support that maybe JUST...

As I sit here waiting, on hold, I'm so tempted to call up from my cell phone with my bluetooth adapter as the headset profile to record it......

Anyone on RC1 Build 5600 get sound working? I'm on RC1 Build 5536 and sound works fine (using the vista driver). I'm kinda curious if something didn't change in between there that broke the driver.
