Can you see very well on the screen? Is it kind of small for 12.1" screen? I bet you have to look at it real close.
Do not get the D620! I had it for 45 days and got hit with 10% when I return it. It hurt my eye so bad. The screen is horrible. Go to Dell forum and read up on it.
I got the 5400 at 667 also and my fan seems to be on most of the time. The 5400 is cheaper than the 5300. I dont know why. Thats why I get it.
The M1210 does have its problem on the screen too. The screen will be much smaller, but the weight and thickness is the same as the D620.

I got me two ddr667 5400(not 5300) for $70 each. I just put the fastest in. Its for my D620.
F12 is for one time boot. So push your CD all the way to the top. Look for hint at the bottom. Do this almost right away? Or after you hear you first beep. F2 is to dig into your BIOS.
Yah, I mean VMWare. Sorry, typo. Get alot of memory. I just got a total of 2 gig of memory and I about to install VMware on it and run SuSE. No need to do any magical partition. I am sure doing this partition is no different...
