So, this type of degradation, in under 6 months, is probably a bad thing. Given this is the third LCD (2nd for yellow/dim issue), could this be related to the system itself, and not just the LCD?
This is my 3rd, LCD, and I'm having bad luck again. Each time I get a new one, over a period of time (6 months or less), the screen will begin to get more dim, and more of a yellowish tint. I've taken a few photos, which I'll link...

I'm not sure if I upgraded to A06, might still be at A05. I don't have a constant humming, but I do get it intermittently, while typing. It is load enough that I can hear it in a not so quite room.
It's not a cabling issue, as the same cable/connector works for the WD Drive, as well as the iPOD going through the WD Drive. I went and bought the USB cable, and all is well now. Guess I'll stick with that...
I also reformatted mine. I booted it up, to make sure it was all happy...then, within 15 minutes, began the format/install of XP Pro.
All, I have an iPod (newer 15G model). I am currently using the Firewire cable, with the 6-->4 adapter that ships from Apple. Here is the problem: When connecting the iPod to the 8600, if I do it directly to the Firewire...

Well, my 3rd LCD is on the way to the tech (including the original). Hopefully this one will be free of the brightness problem, and dead pixels. I'll keep everyone up-to-date.
