Also, does MobMeter allow you to change any fan settings?
I was just gaming for about 2 hours on Rome: Total War, and the GPU didn't get as hot as normal. When I closed the game, after a few minutes it was at 60C, which is lower than it is normally when idle... I didn't check it right away,...
I'll have to see if InstantOn works on my machine again then, since now I've got 3 partitions on 1 HDD. Also, there's a new version of InstantOn out on the FS website. It's called 'InstantOn 3in1', and I'm going to try that out ASAP....

It could be, but if you can, try a non-integrated XP pro CD (but still with the drivers). Why exactly don't you want SP2?
I had that problem. I did solve it though, and I think this was the solution (in order): a) Install XP b) Install SP1 c) Install SP2 d) Install Fujitsu-Siemens drivers from the CD I think you can probably skip SP1 if you've got...
Longhorn/Vista will have a 32-bit version Look to make sure the laptop base is flat. Probably just a one-off thing, but you never know...
