My friend has a R4000 w/ a AMD 4000+ (which is the desktop version, not mobile version)... and he says the battery life, on max settings w/ 8-cell battery (or whatever comes stock) is about 1 hour...
I don't think it's possible to upgrade the GPU in that laptop, b/c it is integrated onto the motherboard... (I wish they made PCMCIA graphics cards)
I think a 3200+ w/ 1024MB of RAM will run faster (and cooler) than a 3500+ w/ 512MB of RAM. The 17" w/ the P4 will run hot... it's very heavy and I think the only advantage is the faster RAM... if you're not going to game and...

Does anyone know what kind of interface (ATA 5,6,7 or SATA?) the zv5260us has? I'm looking to change my 80GB 4,200RPM HDD to a 80GB 54,000RPM HDD. Does the interface even matter as long as it's a 2.5" form factor?
and i heard it's capable of dual channel RAM? what is w/ that?
