Yep, there's Asus for you! Always late! If I had time to wait, I would have definitely gotten a Refresh but I needed my system early August. It's all good though. At least with an integrated graphics card, I won't be tempted...

I wouldn't recommend it. A fresh install is just so much better for your system and if you backup your data it will take a few hours to reinstall all of your apps.

Shouldn't be too much of a difference. I have Home on my laptop but it's not going to connect to the wired network just the wireless. My desktop has Pro on it though because I wanted to be sure it worked. Plus, I like the extra options...

He's not making an actual XP CD that he's going to sell. If you legally own XP you are entitled to as many copies as you want for BACKUP purposes. Plus, the Dell CP CD's aren't even "real" XP CD's.
Not only that but August is back to school time. Dell would be stupid to not raise prices.
