I've used Targus bags before, and they're very good. I did buy the Dell bag for my 9300 though. Overall, the Dell bag is great. Why didn't you get it with your laptop?

Who could possibly use 4GB of RAM now? If you get 2GB that's more than enough. People just like to waste their money.

Getting an E1705 and modding it to an M1710 might be a great idea. It would also save $1000, and you would have almost the exact same performance!

Congratulations on that m170. I play oblivion on my Xbox 360 with HD TV. It's fantastic. It would be nice to play it on a notebook though and compare.

I'm disappointed that Dell changed the color of the XPS M170. The M1710 looks a lot like my I9300. But if the performance is that stellar, I guess it's worth it anyway.
