I say to use a CD-R because bart CDs have had a few problems with RWs. And I know you can rip a CD, just wanted to make sure it was tested before I told this guy that he was probably burning it wrong.

You shouldn't have to, but if you do that and it doesn't find any bootable media there is either a problem with the ISO or a problem with your burn. Somebody want to confirm success of burning iso and booting from the subsequent CD?
