The Kubantu Live CD worked like a charm... Detected the correct screen (1280*800) resolution and everything... very impressed. Grabbing the install image now...
I think linux suppor for the IPW 2915 A/B/G is quite limited. Older adapters have better support (IPW 2100 works like a charm under all Linux Distros I have tried [SuSE 9.3 and 10.0, FC 3 and 4, Kanotix 2005.3]) have herd of others...
I hope it installs better than SuSE... I will definately give this distro a whirl, downloading a Live cd now.

YaST crashed twice on installation... switchiung from disc 3 to disc 4, and again when switching from disc 4 to disc 5. Never had alinux distro crash on installation before... I think I'm gonna dump it and give (K)ubantu a whirl...
You should check out this thread... all M68XX have the same case design, and dispite what eMachines, and others might say, the drive is easily user replacable.
