i've got xps2 w/ a wxga+ lcd & 2gb ram. i run 1440x900 (native), everything high, 100% distance, 2x aa and it's plenty nice an smooth
well i plan on trying the 77.76s since i've been reading some good things about it. i've got the 80.40s now and they run well, but the shadows in bf2 retail look kinda weird. they're rendered properly but their placement is off...
so is the adv d3d option to render ahead forced triple buffering in d3d? and the new triple buffering option in the cp is for opengl only?
i'd say just call em and ask for one. i found 2 seperate threads in the dell community forums dealing w/ this issue and it was resolved by replacing the gpu. so if they give you any lip about it, tell them to search their own forums.
got a reboot in sitting in spec on assault. called dell again. and they're going to ship another gpu, but i'm going to have to wait a little bit. apparently when they sent the replacement xps2 the warranty went to that machine and now...

has anyone tried the 77.72 or 77.76 drivers with this option? does it work? and is it for opengl AND d3d or just opengl? and typically under "advanced d3d options", you can set a value to render ahead. is this triple...

bf2 runs smoother now w/ 2gb. everything is @ high settings w/ 2x aa and the hd no longer goes bezerk when the game starts for me. before it took awhile of the hd chugging before things calmed down. also when quitting out of games,...
