Both Hard drives were ran under Inspiron 9300 alos if matter to anybody under 3dmark03 and 3dmark05 scores were the same
If you really want to know about 5400vs 7200rpm hard drives, I used them both as matter of fact I have them both. I used to have acer laptop and windows was installed from ghost cd, everytime when I used 100gb 5400 rmp hard drive...
So far 3dmark 03 and 05 showed that there is no difference between 5400 and 7200 rpm in scores HD tach shows 7200rpm for like first 20gb is better but after that 5400 performs better
I found 77.62 HD drive and installed it, didn't have any problems with installation

I have dell 9300 with nivdia 6800 go and would like to get a graphic driver other than the dell supplied one I went to nivida website and download 77.xx something but during installation I got message drive can't be installed, I guess...
I just recieved 9300 with hitachi 60gb 7200rpm hard drive, I also have laying around seagate 100gb 5400rpm hard drive My question what bechmarks do I use to see how they peform, both hard drive will be tested in same laptop
