If you're considering the Acer 1700 line are you really sure you want a laptop? For about the same price, you can get a desktop setup with equal or better parts in it. At 15+ lbs, the Acer isn't exactly portable.

just keep in mind a 5690 with two batteries will weigh in th 10-15 lbs ballpark.
