I'd say the only noise Sagers make which is out of the ordinary (for a notebook) is the fan. It's pretty loud on a relative scale. Doesn't really bother me though. Nothing else about my machine is noisy though.

Seemed weird to me, but I didn't pay much attention since how I don't plan to ever own a 56XX series.
Another factor to consider is if you plan to plug a monitor into your machine for gaming.
From what I have heard in other threads, the 5680 might use some kind of "emulation" for external monitors, which at least one owner...
